How Many City Paid Construction Workers Does It Take To Move A Traffic Cone?
I said....
well, infact, you have all got it wrong. In order to move a trafic cone, no mater the size, one must be aware of the rules and regulations of the city in which they wish to move the trafic cone within. In Denver, due to a relatively large climate range (relative to the extremites of the U.S.A especially to the south in countries with pristine roads such as Florida and Texas) the movement of a cone from one area of the street to the other is never the same. During the warm months water works it's way into cracks of the road and sidewalks, in the winter that water freezes and frozen water has a greater mass than liquid water, thus pushing concrete out of the way, creating a new surface of the road. This new surface may seem minute, but when moving a trafic cone, the slightest change can lead the a great catastrophy. In order to do the "move" in a safe and yet timely fassion you need... A surveyor, A surveyor uses a laser and Global Positioning System to map the surface of the road. Once the surveyor has collected all of the cordinates encompasing the desired move path of the cone, the cordinates must be sent to a software company such as Microsurvey Inc, located in Westbank, British Colombia. Once the cordinates arive there, an operator must send them to the correct department, in this case, the RWC (road way construction) department. At the RWCD, a man will plug the cordinates into their computer and into a 3D modeling software and print out the readings. Those readings will then be sent to the shipping bay, where a man will put them into the coresponding mailing envelope and into the outgoing bin. The envelope will then go into the hands of the mail carrier, who will take it to the nearest distribution center. From the distribution center in Westbank, to the distribution center in Denver, the envelope will pass through the hands of aproximatly 12 individual workers. From the Distribution point in Denver, the letter will be sent to the Colorado State Government: Road Construction Information building located on 1111 West Colfax, Avenue where it will be approved and taken to the designated construction site. Upon arival of the document, the project supervisor will open the envelope and give the contents to the on site surveyor, the surveyor will then give instructions to the project supervisor, who will pass them on to the project organiser, who will ok them and return them to the surveyor. The surveyor and his/her partner will studdy the 3D bump map and plan the safest and most effecient path for the movemnt of the cone, upon agreement of the path, the construction hand (veteran Air Force Black Hawk Pilot) will maneuver the cone to its new location. In short, it would take 24 individual employed individuals, 5 of them being city-paid construction workers.
