Beautiful cinematography, and I'm very jealous of your cameras. Loved the shots jibbing the ice hotel (I think that's what it is?). The music was great too, John Holowach works really well with those slo-mo shots.
Now this is exactly where you see the difference between a skiing edit and a skiing short film. Truly spectacular editing. I applaude you, Miikka Niemi. To make eight minutes feel like an almost full blown movie in the sense of art direction, filming and editing is truly a talent. And of course it goes without saying - the skiing was amazing.
The natural/unnatural Switch Cork 1080 Blunts were a sight for sore eyes.
i considered posting this when i saw it on spatziba yesterday, but thought you guys maybe wanted to do it yourself.
anyways, movie is so fuckin sick!
and aj kemppainen killing it! his style=perfection.
Is there another link to it? It's not in your Vimeo channel and the video on that site won't work for me. By the way, from what I've seen, flatlight films is my favorite film company now.
Amazing great filming, both skiers AJ Kemppainen & Pekka Hyysalo style = perfection not to mention their skills. Enjoyment to watch, want to see more!!!!
late bump, but if you haven't seen it, watch it. the editing on the shot at 6:57 was fucking amazing, i had to rewind and replay a few times to take it all in.
