Yes. We have the capability and resources to put a mirror there. Can't believe it took us this long, but you should invest in a telescope.

It would work, but it would also take much more than a million years to get it out there and set it up. So by the time that its there we could have just taken pictures of the earth every day and saved them for much less money.

even at speeed of light travel, would take 2 million years to put mirror out there, see the mirror there from earth, so we'd just watch ourselves put the mirror out in space... in 2 million years

No, it wouldn't. If you could get the mirror there instantly, the light from the mirror that is reflected off the earth would also take 2,000,000 years to come to the telescope, so you would be dead when you saw the reflection. Also the earth moves, and has gravitational pull, so it would pull the mirror into the earth and it would kill thousands or even millions of people.

couldn't you just test this by seing if any mirror creates a lag time. It is still just light reflecting back, only on a larger scale. FUCK YOU I HAVE REAL WORK TO DO

this would 100 percent work but it would be difficult, we would need a large and in charge stationary mirror that is meteorite proof and would be quite the waste of money.

You could see the past, but you could only look at one thing at once, and you wouldnt be able to see anything because the mirror is too far away.

Maybe you could just put a one way mirror really close to earth...

no like really, you're a dumb fuck. its such a simple concept its not even funny. so basically every single thing you see in the sky is how it looked how ever many light years away. take a star for example. when you see a a star you are not seeing it as the present, you see it how it was a long time ago. it the star is a 100 light years away that means we are seeing the star's light from a 100 years ago. all this little drawing (an idea that is not brandy spanken new by any means) is saying that through the mirror that is a million light years away, you see the light from Earth a million years ago. but since that mirror is a million lightyears away in the first place its a million for the earth light to get there, then a million for the light of the reflection of the earth's light to get back. so whats a million plus a million? why thats 2 million. yayyy.
its a simple fucking concept dip shit just highly implausible means of doing. so call me when you pass either AE freshman physics or AE math connections.
