Afterbang or nine life?

im looking to buy new skis, but for under $300. i have been looking at afterbangs and nine lifes because i can get either one for cheap. i am 5'10, 165 lbs and ski all park. probably around 50/50 rails and jumps. i want to know which is gonna be a better park ski, last longer, and hold up better. ive seen both skis in situations where they've gotten thrashed up but also see stories on how good they were to some people.

i would get the afterbangs in a 177, or the nine lifes in probably a 172.

If you're 5'10" 165 I'd definitely go with 182 not 172. That's incredibly short.

If it weren't for the durability issues I would say Nine Life in a heartbeat. Afterbangs have an extruded base so they are very slow. Nine Life's have a faster sindered base and are much lighter.

yeah i've heard the afterbangs are slow, but also saw big_spences nine lifes get trashed in 4 days.

also i would get a 172 becuse im used to small skis and been riding on small skis always. also i dont throw down too much on jumps.

ya i saw big spences personally and its looked horrible dont get the nine lifes i would say go wiht dynastar nothing but trouble skis (or the 6th sence pipe same ski) cheep and hella durrable i only used for one year no scratches no edge cracks at all....and iv bean using them for my summer set up and nothings gone wrong with them!

hope that helped a lil.....(a bangs are way to flimsy for fast speeds going into jumps, thats what i heard is all)
