But yes... this movie had so much diversity it was insane. Crazy chase over Coruscant... sexy Natalie Portman scenes... the AWESOME Tatooine part.... Obi-wan dukes it out with Jengo Fett... Anakin and Padme in the droid factory... the arena scene.... the massive Jedi battle with a gazillion battle droids... then the clone-droid battle.... and the lightsaber battles.... ahhh just too much!

dude spiderman kills that shit. star wars is just so much drawn out story-telling. nothing new. there have been 4 of the same nature. while i do agree yoda fights cool, its extremely fake. in comparison with spider-man the visual effects didnt overwhelm it, the story-line was rather weak and predictable. it was good to see a good old-fashioned hero on the screen for once. someone familiar. i mean the story line is well known now, but it was original. nothing goerge lucas can come up with will ever match his first 3 he made. i dont see why he's trying to come up with another 3 to fill in 'what we missed'. also, i find it irritating how there are so many pointless characters and senseless points in the story that add up to nothing. i want to see more fights 1v1 and 2v1 where it is a damn good fight and someone ends up assraped. i mean yoda fighting was cool for all of 3 minutes out of 2 and a hlaf hours, but dooku just whipped thru anakin and obi one. it is only my opinion that spider-man was killer, but i think that star wars 2 could have been a bit better.

I disagree. I thought spiderman was really cheezy. I love spiderman, and the movie was cool, simpily because it was spiderman, but aside from that, it just seemed lacking. I don't even know in what, but it definately felt like it was missing something. The end of spiderman was really boaring and I actually found myself saying 'just end already.'

I agree with saying that the new episodes could never compare with the origionals, but I think that's only because the origionals have been in out hearts for decades. I feel I got from Episode II pretty much what I was expecting but didn't get from Episode I.

Star Wars Ep. II was waaayyyyyyy better than Ep.I and rebel and I really enjoyed how longer the movie went, the less clothes Portman was wearing :) and for those who don't know....its a 2.5 hr flick :)

But Caden, he originally wrote all six of them together... he's not coming up with anything 'new' here. For me, it's really cool to see the story behind the entire thing, and I think he's doing an excellent job. And as for familiar faces, we've got Yoda, Senator Palpatine, Obi-wan, Anakin..... they are all familiar, even as much as Spider-man is. And the conflict can't just be resolved in this movie- that's why it takes six to finish the whole story. We don't want Obi-wan and Anakin to just kill Dooku then and there, because that would bring the movie all wrapped up in a nice pretty box and we'd have to start all over for Ep. III. I was disappointed enough when Darth Maul was killed in Phantom Menace. Plus, if Dooku died, then we never would have found out his connection to Senator Palpatine, and how the entire Clone War was arranged so he could take over the Republic.

And in general, not many of us realize how fricking HARD it must be to backwrite a story that everyone already knows. I mean, we all know what happens to Anakin, we all know what happens to Palpatine, Yoda, Obi-wan and the rest... it must be incredibly difficult to write a story that will keep us interested when we all know the resolution.

Attack of the Clones shattered the previous mid-week opening record (previously held by The Phantom Menace, by the way), by bringing in $30.1 million last Thursday. Spider man opened with $46 million- but that was on a Friday! Wait until the end of the weekend, and this 'Spider-man' will be a nonentity!

Spiderman wasnt that good imo. I liked the comic books way back when but it wasnt really all that cool. In star wars you have amazing visuals, crazy action and some cool charaters, spiderman was just the comic book played out on screen, not really visually stunning either.

Caden- I think you are absolutly correct. Sure the graphics were cool but the fighting was pretty bad. The Yoda part is all messed up because YODA is supposed to be the ultimate Jedi he never needs to fight. Also Yoda shows anger in the movie therefore making him part of the dark side. Now if you really want me to point out more inncorrectness with the movie then just tell me 2. Spiderman rocks comics are the best followed the story plus good graphics and acting (which Star Wars lacked).

A.C.I.D- did he show anger? I didn't notice, I'll have to go see it again. You're right- overall it wasn't the GREATEST of movies- but in my opinion it was damn good. Let's just hope to God that Lucas doesn't direct the 3rd one, and gives it to Spielberg or someone else. He didn't direct Empire or Jedi, and those were the best two.

Yeah, I think it would be awesome if Spielberg or another great director would direct the third one, but I don't think that will happen. Lucas likes to have control over ever aspect of his work, he is a pefectionist. He has been trying really hard to be a top director and I don't think he will even consider allowing another director work with his 'masterpiece'. The thing is I think star wars would be a better than it already is if, Lucas would incorporate more minds and give people in different areas (acting, directing, design, etc.) less guidlines.

Lucas wrote all 9 episodes long ago, and he has pretty much bpromised/b not to make anymore after III. I dont think Yoda showed anger, some friends and I snuck into star wars last night just in time to see him fuck shit up, he was just like bring it on.
