As far as I can tell, it has never been clear to what extent the jump "belonged" to a specific party.
Jon may have spent time to build it, but I'm sure that since Treble Cone did invest some of their snow, staff, and time into the project, they're looking to get some sort of return from it by way of their logo appearing in movie footage and or photos.
Jon knows full well what weather does to jump sessions; look at JOSS the past two years. If he left before it was a good day to sender', that's a scheduling error or just bad luck.
It'd be stupid for Treble Cone to just plow the thing under when there are other companies that can shoot on it.
