i'm not a hipster. but...

i still dont get why you guys hate on hipsters so much. its just another style or way of dressing and living.

should other people hate on you for wearing abercrombie and fitch polo's and hollister jeans?

or wearing tall tees and gym shorts?

or for wearing fitted ed hardy tee shirts and 150 dollar jeans?

or plain old t shirts and levi's jeans?

or any other style of clothes and living?

just get over it already and stop the hating. its just ridiculous.

Most hipsters are wieners. One must take this into account. I recently finished my fixie with the idea of going to the hipster strip in my city one day out the week. There I will use the fact that I am not a wiener and get all of the hipster girls and most likely the clap.

No, they aren't hating the clothing style. They are hating the pretentious douchebagginess that hipsters have that makes them think they are better than everyone else and that even though they all have the same pair of Levi's on with the same stupid looking polo shirt for 8 year old girls on that they are "unique and different".

It's like the dance episode of Southpark:
"I'm gonna be non-conformist by conforming to these guys who are not conforming with you guys who are non-conformists"

Being a hipster isn't about  being non-conformist. Just like being a goth or an emo kid or a wigger isn't about being non-conformist... (sure is double-negative in here...)
Its about associating with a group that isn't part of the mainstream culture. Everyone does it to an extent. Most of you assocoiate with skiiers. You probably all wear floppy beanies and those stupid oakley sunglasses that look like wayfarers... you just do it so you can associate with a group that you feel like you're a part of. There are douchebag skiiers just like there are douchebag hipsters.

so that means you're just all better than them because you arent one? because right now you have the same exact attitude as them, except you dress to fit in with the so called "normal crowd" of culture. so you're just as much as a pretentious douchebag as they are.

How is me wearing stuff that is comfortable make me try to fit in with the "normal crowd"? 3/4 of my shirts are t-shirts that have pockets on the front.

And where did I say I was better. I said the reason people hate hipsters is because they are pretentious aka they have a "holier and better than thou" attitude about everything with everyone.

Besides, making fun of hipster fashion is only a low blow to what is a hypocritical, pretentious, and ironic subculture. Hipsters deserve every bit of it, just like emos, juggalos, wiggers, etc.
