Just curious if anyone here has ever been in my situation, and if they have I feel your pain. I just found the perfect girl for me, I need her all semester but just started really talking to her a little more than 1 week ago before my college let out like right now! Basically, we decided since we are both transfering that it just wasnt gonna work no matter-im transfering to umass and shes goin down to delware. Im so pissed it had to end up this way Ive never felt more like complete shit in my entire life.......I mean she had it all and we really liked each other BUT WHY does TIMING HAVE TO FUCK EVERYTHING UP! JESUS CHRIST......if anyone has experienced something similar to this please share it......man I feel like shit.

at least you go the girl. I've been friends with this girl 4ever, and shes been dating this guy 4ever. She broke up with him before Sadies (whixh I didn't know), and was going to ask me until my 'friend' gave her a but load of shit for asking me so she didn't. I didn't think she was availble so I asked another girl to prom, when she wanted to go with me and I wanted to go with her. Great way to end senior year

That, I guess, depends on you, but given that you haven't HAD a few weeks or a decade spent waiting for her, it shouldn't be as big a deal as it probably seems to you now to forget her. It does stop. Age doesnt become an issue, just the fact that youre in love. it shouldnt matter how long youve known someone to determine whether or not you love them. Your feelings are valid and when people say that you dont know what love is, that just makes you feel like crap because you feel like your feelings dont matter.
just keep in mind the rule of thumb: for every 6 months youre with someone, you are allowed 3 weeks of mourning. no bitching after that. go date someone else. jk, its from out cold

Nice, I get 5 years of wearing nuttin' but black. As of now, anyways. Thanks for the encouragement, Kelly... but I still say you can't really know someone well enough to love them if you've known them for a week. Even if you're around them 24/7, it should take longer than that. And also, it's hard to really understand a feeling, especially if it's particularly affecting, unless you've had time to get your head around it... and I don't mean understand it. Just think about it, live with it, come to grips with it... takes a long time to even get a basic understanding of what we're talking about. Which has sweet fuck all to do with the original idea of this thread, come to think of it. Sorry for the hijack, buddy.

i feel it...i won't explain my story,it still hurts me,even if it happenned 2 years ago.
Now i'm happy with my gf.1 year and 7 months together,maybe more.And we live in the same city,is pretty cool,we know we'll never fall apart.Unless either one of us dies.But hopefully that's not going to happen until we are old,with kids,and happily living together.
That's exactly the way it will go.We'll live together.Get a dog,and then,get a baby.

yup pretty much the exact same thing happened to me, except we were together for all of 2nd semester. it sucks, I don't know what to tell you. I came home a week ago and I'm still hurting bad. so good luck, if you find anything that makes you feel better please let me know!

Couple things here: I never said I was in love or ANYTHIN.......I just said I things would have worked if we werent going our separate ways. I was hanging out wit here for a lile more than week to 2 weeks and i had known her since october in the beginning of college but she was enageged at the time. I didnt talk to her until about 3 weeks ago and then 2 weeks ago starting hangin wit her. I kno its not that big a deal and it wont take that much time for me to get over it cuz in the back of my mind anythin is possible. ANYTHIN! I mean who knows......

my 2 girlfriends where very bad at relationships, one was a slut, and another one just gets boyfriends, a lot of them, and cant hold them together. oh well. it wasnt hard when we broke up. actually it was pretty easy and relieving. i found the perfect girl though. been friends since 7th grade and everytime i see her i just want to hug her and never let go. went to the movies with her then toys-r-us. it was awsome.
