Replying to Downloading iTunes 9.0.3 help please!

I just got a new computer, I am trying do download itunes 9.0.3, but when I try to install it (64 bit version on 64 bit processor) i get an error message that says something like "cannot install iPod/iPad recognizer, please veryify that you have sufficient priveleges." I am on the administrator account, and know i have permission to do whatever i want, so im not sure what the issue is. Any help would be very much appreciated. I have also tried downloading from a few different sources, so i know its not just the file.
