Texting is just good for not having to respond to shit on the spot, and actually having time to think about what you want to say, thus avoiding awkward silences... I hate talking on the phone with pretty much everyone if it's going to last more than 5 minutes... But if I'm texting them, I don't need to have all my attention focused on the person I'm talking to, ya know?

Thats the worst part about texting. It doesnt cost the companies any extra to send your text, because they encoded it within the same bandwidth as their voice band. It is pure profit for them. Biggest scam since fountain drinks.
