Hey, I just wanted a get a few ideas as well as see some people's opinions on this subject. For those who have seen the thread know what I'm talking about those who haven't

A report in the Salt Lake City Tribune states that reckless skiing is now considered a Class B Misdemeanor. If skiers are found guilty of reckless skiing, they will be fined 1,000 USD and face a six-month jail sentence.

Somebody tell me this is a fucking joke. Seriously, this has to be a fucking joke. Class B Misdemeanor? I'm laughing right now.

Also, the idea of a enacting speed limits seems irrelevant without any way of know how fast you are going. Or are the "speed limits" just going to be fast zones and slow zones type of things which they kind of already have?

That is possibly the most ill considered law to be consideres in the existence of man. I think the real problem is that ski resorts make the "beginner" runs the main veins in ski resorts. I would estimate that 80% of all ski resorts have the beginer run leading to the park and the funest runs. Also its the beginners that are guilty of reckless skiing they stop and made huge turns. Also if your not a beginner you can most likeley stop before you destroy a gaper anyway. Texting and skiing fast are not a good combo though. I once destroyed a slow sign goin 30 mph while texting/claim

That's the most retarded thing ever. Pull passes if people are being reckless and causing problems. Making it a legal matter like driving down the road speeding? Who the fuck will want to come to your mountain?

I agree with trying to curb the reckless skiing in slow zones and beginner trails. The threat of pulling an expensive pass will keep most people in check. You can permanently ban somebody form the resort if it becomes that big of a problem. Calling the police? Those guys are just asking people to come and fuck with their slow zones.

On wildcat I'd think i'd have something in my pants if i did that. Paradise doesn't have the vert. Trust me I've tried, and gotten yelled by Ski Patrol. But Still how did you clock yourself?

My friend connor has a gps on his phone (HTC Magic) so i just slipped that in my pocket then took the top speed from the run. BTW, when i was younger, i saw a guy ten minutes before he died. Went past me on wildcat, when i got down to the bottom of the run he was on the ground and people were around him but they werent doing anything. Hit a tree, blunt force trauma and died.

that's probably good idea. I want to see if there is an app for that. HOLY COW, i would trip balls if i saw someone ten minutes before they died. I ski double blacks like none other and I still hate wildcat with a passion.

yea wildcat is sketchy. i bet if someone went fast enough and popped on that last slope in front of the lift you could probably clear most of that haha.

BTW is it wrong for me to want to try something like this skiing?

I know. My friend who showed it to me, also showed me a video of a nissan gtr from inside it going like 200 down a highway in japan. Its passing cars going in the same direction but theyre so slow in comparison they look like theyre going to opposite direction.
