Golf ball vs. Car

Apparently a car wins.
I was playing golf on Saturday and my shot got away from me just blocked it right and hit this guys windshield fucked it up pretty bad. well he was all chill about it gave him my info and now im concerned im gonna have to pay to replace the window. I'm 16. Barley have a job (work 3 hours a week) and don't know how im gonna pay for it any thoughts NS

It's on the golf insurance. I did the same thing when I was 6 and we were driving balls for the heck of it, we hit a porsche and the owner of the gold said it was the 5th time he had to call the insurance in the week!

Was it at a golf course?
If so they are probably liable, not you.  Just claim that you suck at golf and can't hit the ball accurately.  They have insurance that covers this sort of stuff, it's all added into your 18 hole fee.

If you were on private property: You will have to buy a new windshield.

Every golf course I've ever been to and worked at, has a sign that says something to the effect of "Golfers are responsible for any damage caused by them, their equipment, or their balls. Report any damage to the clubhouse" Sorry bro, odds are, this one's on you.

ya i would think the course would be liable, and what state are you from because if you live in a no fault auto glass state and the guy has glass coverage his insurance will cover it for free anyways

i just checked your profile and it says CT which is good because CT is a no fault auto glass state which means if the guy has glass coverage on his insurance they will replace the windshield at no cost to him, he wont have to pay a deductible either, and they cant raise his rates, i know all this because i worked for an auto glass company in CT this summer so if he has glass coverage tell him you can get it fixed for free
