RA just searched my dorm room.....

Some friends and I were just casually playing some beer pong, and heard a knock on the door. I had just gotten back from the Gunny Season/ Eye Trip premiere and was enjoying a 40. Two RAs see the table and come in the room. They immediately see a 40, and a handle of rum. Because it's a "dry campus" she insists on searching the room and finds 2 more handles, a bottle of whiskey and some random beer cans. They write us all up, and make us pour it all down the drain. Hopefully it won't be more than a slap on the wrist...... anyone have experience with this?

(oh and the one of the RAs was hawt, had that possibly lesbian but still attractive look going.)

i went to a little party school in michigan, we never got caught but our neighbors had to pay a small fine and send an apology to the RHD

don't play beer pong in your dorm room. Rookie mistake. You can hear that shit from all the way down the hall and it is VERY distinctive. Just be smart. We drank in the dorms pretty much every night, but never once got written up. by the time the second knock came, that shit was hidden and we were looking bored watching t.v. haha

that sucks man, my RA made me jello shots, and i copped some sweet dome from her on my birthday weekend haha........fuckin college, but yeah ull probably have to go to alcohol counseling class for a while, something like that since its ur first offense im assuming

your own fault for drinking in a dry dorm. its illegal here in nz for a landlord to enter our flat if they are suspicious of anything. they have to give us 24 hours notice or we can legally call the cops on them for entering without consent.

UVM has a dry campus. Furst time is usually a slap on the wrist. They will try and determine if you are an alcoholic by asking how many times a week you drink and how many drinks each time. deny deny deny, and dont get caught again

Next time play beer pong but with water in the cups instead and keep the beer stashed someplace and drink it out of the hidden can.

The beer was all in the fridge. Cups full of water, alcohol stashed under a desk. She walks in and looks under the desk and sees a few handles, a 40 oz, etc...went downhill from there.

At my school at least if the door isn't open and they knock they can't come into the dorm room until YOU Let them.

first time is usually a slap on the wrist but you had quite a bit in the room.. and it will depend on your school. might be a letter home and some community service.

as said before, use water in the cups

also use nalgenes - preferable opaque
disguise alcohol bottles or put it in different containers

get to know your RA, it could really help. i room with one and he is just like the rest of the kids at college.
most RAs really couldnt care less what you do in your room, unless they are told to do something about it by someone else (RA from a different floor, student, etc. )

at some schools freshmen can't live in dry dorms.

also, when I got caught by my RA, I had to do this program and take an online class called alcoholedu. Second time was probation. Third would've been suspension.

advice? move off campus.

first of all, they aren't allowed to come into your room, without you saying.
at least that was the rules at my uni.

and if your gonna play beer pong put some music on, the sound of the balls hitting the cups is so easy to recognize.

and as soon as you hear them knock, just clean up and open the door.

but the one time we got caught last year i should have got written up for underage drinking and mass consumption which would have been a $500 behaviour bond, 2 AA meetings, and 2 writeups, all i had was a meeting with the head RA

At my school, its a fine for each bottle/can of beer and then even more for each container of hard alcohol. Luckily the RA's are chill and usually buy for us. So much for our "dry campus"
