Tracks alright. Not the coolest sport but i do it cause theres not a lot to do this season.

I ussually run the 32 and 16 and the 4 by 8 relay but im running really bad this year so ive been just doing the 4 by 4 and the 4 by 8. I dont have enough energy for the 32 or 16.

Yeah i do it just cause xc is awesome i always think track is gonna be fun as hell but when ever i start into it always becomes super gay by the end of the first week.

i ran the 4 by 400 relay in 1:33. that is one lap. could also be the reason i only do throwing events and dont run

i used to in middle school we had like 4 schools and it was my fist meet and i got 2nd inthe 100 3 in the 200 and 6 in long jump. and i started prectising for long jump the day before

i hate track with a passion but i do it. gets me in shape for soccer. this year i'm doing the long jump, open 200, open 400, 4x200 and 4x400

yea, my best is 16.4 in the 110s and 41-9 in triple. But yea, we only have county groups, then state sectionals, and then if i qualify in triple jump which i hopefully do I can go to the county meet of champions. A junior that i hurdle with ran a 14.8, hes so damn fast

14.8, thats crazy. the other day in tripple jump i jumped 42'1' which was my best ever, then this guy goes right after me, new england champ...48'6'.
And if you jumped 41'9' id think youd make states. around here automatic qualifying is 39'. What is it where your from

Im from new jersey, and they take the top 18 people in each event from the county, and there are about 55 schools in my county, so it changes. Whats awesome is though Im a sophmore, and there are two other sophmores i jump with who do 19+ in long jump and 40+ in triple, so we should do very well in the relays in the next two years

all you sprint haters, go to hell.
The sprint is the most difficult sport i have ever played. Its totally perfectionist, and reactionary. You have 12 seconds to beat the other opponents, meanwhile your destroying your body. Every single muscle is in use, and if one thing goes wrong, ure hurt for a long time, or even worse, you lose.
If i practiced more, i would have been better in distance. Its more of a mental game than sprinting, even tho they are both huge parts to both sports. Plus its boring.

400m and pole vault are my main events. And I get tossed into some crazy relays usually (4x1, 4x4). I'll sometimes do a 200 as well.

I like to do the decathlon at the end of the year too.

i dont do track any more, but for 4 years i did 4X100, 400, 200, and 100. Now its all about powder puff! lol, only once a year and not long at all. gets me ready for swim suit season. haha, my keg belly.

haha at track today the sprinters were supposed to do 2 100s and 2 200s while the distance psychos did 2 600s, 2 400s, and 2 200s. i did the 2 100s then played on the high jump mat

five 600s isnt much at all, my distance speed workouts would measure up to about three or four miles just in the speed part, until you get to peaking time at the end of the season then they're a lil less.
and the 400 is nothing compared to the 800. the last stretch of the 400 cant compare with the last 300 of the 800. and the distance races are harder than those because it takes so much mental strength to push through that pain for so long.

Sprinting is much more natural, and must be worked on extremely hard to improve lets say a second in the 100, or even the two hundred or the four hundred. You have to have insane leg power to be able to propel yourself that fast. Sure distance runners will run more in practice, they are distance runners. Distance requires good genes, but its a lot easier to improve if you arent a natural runner. Sure you may not be amazing at it, but last year in track i did distance and i improved my mile time 30 seconds in about a month and a half or two months
