Any ski patrol on here?

Just finished my first two sessions of training (off the snow theory) and im really stoked to keep the ball rolling on this and eventually working the hills on weekends.

Pretty worried about the examination though, not the written one but the practical. Seems like high stress situations under the scrutiny of seasoned patrollers.

Anyone else on here patrol? Do you still enjoy it?

i am currently taking the oec course right now and once winter comes then tabogon trainging and i forget what else... then i will be one!!

Yup patrol and build the terrain park at the Yellowstone Club here in Montana.  Love it.

For the practical just do as much hands on practice as possible.  It's really not that bad.

yo i was on patrol at winter park a few years back....

it's fun you basically just get to ski around wherever and just check shit out   first tracks in morning  last tracks at night.  Pretty legit

the practicles arent really that hard just make sure you practice a shit load

Yeah I'm a patroller with the Dartmouth Ski Patrol, which is composed of (almost entirely, excluding the director/a handful of volunteers) students at Dartmouth. It's such a dope group because we run all our own training (including OEC certification and on-hill training), and there's always fresh blood because we have tryouts every year for freshmen.

This year we have 265 freshmen trying out for 15 spots in their class... suuuuucks to be them!

Anyone else patrol on NS? I patrol in saga pants and park skis, and it's never really been a problem... am I the only one?
