aerialist have been able to do quad back 1440s for years. trip back ain't shit.

Although I too have reservations about things going the way of aerials come on man, I can't argue with the fact that aerialists have been doing insane shit for years (nor do I wish to detract from said craziness in any way whatsoever, much respect) but they do it on pretty much completely vert jumps and don't travel all that far horizontally. Furthermore over or undershooting the landings is a near impossibility. To send a triple (straight back or otherwise) off a massive kicker and travel as far as people are carries with it the possibility of enormous (if not fatal) consequences and as such I think like it or not respect is due.

Are you kidding me? Quads aren't allowed in competitions (such as the olympics). But skiers have been doing them for a long time. Here is a video from 1983. Dude.
