I found a video on youtube that showed a fully working snow gun very similar to one you would see at a resort.
I would like to try and make one of these.
Used the search bar found some posts about it but I'm looking for something a little more specific to what I'm trying to do. With success I will definitely post plans and supplies needed to make the unit.
The concerns I have are with the power needed by the air compressor and pressure washer. Maybe someone who knows how these work a little better then me....
Here is my basic idea...
The back bone of the project will be an industrial fan. Found one at harbor freight for 70$ that for now seems like it might do the job.

I have a man made lake in my back yard so I want to get a pump that will draw water. (the lake is big enough and spring fed the water level will never go down from the little amount I will be drawing.) I have done a little research and your house hold water hose pulls about 10 GPM (gallons per minute)= 600 GPH (Gallons per hour). So I would need something close or more then that depending on the amount of snow I would like to make. The water pump I selected pushes 900GPH.

Now that I have a pump that will feed the pressure washer I need to buy a electric pressure washer so the system doesnt have to run on gas... unstable.
open to suggestions for this part.
I have an air compressor at home. It seems to be a decent size so for testing I hope it is enough.
Now I want to bend a pipe around the fan and put the nozzles on the pipe...
That's the very basic idea. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
