Too many hipsters up here in Bellingham
I can tell you one thing though, I wouldn't trade them for rednecks, not in a million years.

Maybe I just don't understand hipsters, what do they want to accomplish?  Being unique?  They all have the same manerism, same ideas, wear the same clothes, ride the same bikes.  Are they out to prove that the mainstream is bad?  What a stupid fucking way to do it.  What is their end game?

Or are they just the new generation of Emos/goths/whatever?

Ugh, but he drinks starbucks which is soooooo mainstream. I bet he wears tall tees too. Tall tees are so played out, I remember I used to wear tall tees even before the rappers but now that everyone wears them I only wear fitted v-necks and frilly scarves. I'm also growing a beard but lol it's only an ironic beard to draw attention to how silly beards are. Did I seriously just use lol? Ugh, kill me. Nobody uses lol anymore. I guess that also means it's outdated which makes it retro-chic. Lol retro is so cool. Man, I'm such a trendsetter lol. Hey don't forget to read my blog, I update twice a day with diatribes about the meaninglessness of life but it might be above your intelligence level sooo, ya, whatever, lol.

P.S. My blog is entirely in Helvetica, NS needs more Helvetica. What is this Times New Roman? How conformist, I want to gag.

Hipsters have no style they are all conformed to one slighty homo lifstyle. i think if all hipsters were shot the world would be alot more fun. Nobody would give a fuck what other think. Also the whole vegan thing WTF? i dont think cows and chickens and pigs have the mental cappacity to enjoy life much less think that someone taking their milk or eggs is such a fucking hate crime. If you find yourself thining of going vegiterian cuz every else is doing it grow a pair smoke a J and put on a fucking Flannel with the sleeves cut off and go shoot stuff in the woods.

i hate hipsters but i hate vegans more than anything, EAT SOME FUCKING MEAT!!!! you not eating meat wont make the animal not dead, also they taste delicious and they are some of the most unhealthy people ive ever met, and yes i know that wasnt about hipsters, dont care.

the problems isn't with vegetarians, but with the entire elitist mindset. you don't have better morals than me for not eating meat, you just make different choices.

also, i haven't met many unhealthy vegans. it's way better for you than the mainstream diet..

i've met plenty of really unhealthy vegans/vegetarians but it's generally the people who just take it up as a fad. so many of them will just cut meat out of there diet but don't replace it with anything. I'm sorry but a ceasar salad is not a meal. That said my two closest high school friends were both vegetarian but one was hindu (so no beef allowed anyways) and the other one's mom had been a vegetarian for a couple decades and was an incredible cook and they probably ate healthier than anyone i know.
i've never gotten the idea that hipsters were generally vegetarian, i always thought that was more of a yuppie thing and hipsters ate like shit and lived off ramen, pizza and fast food.

Not at all. Fixies can be a fun bike to have. I would never own a fixie exclusively, but they're fun to ride when you're just looking to try some tricks or mess around. I hate that hipsters gave fixies a bad name. I have a nice Raleigh mountain bike, and then another bike with a flip flop hub. I mostly use the single speed to get around campus and around town, because I really don't need more than one gear for that. I flip the wheel around to make it a fixie when I want to fool around.

fixies are the shit. I love that I can ride across town without shifting, pulling a brake lever or putting a foot down. Such a better connection to your bike imo. That said, there are a ton of people that just ride fixies to look cool, and thats pretty dumb.

Um you can track stand on every single bike, if you want to get connected to your bike, try downhill biking, riding a bike on pavement doesn't really do much other then slightly improve your balance

Yeah I know you can track stand on any bike but its a lot more fun on a fixed gear and you can do it no handed and shit. I've gone downhilling. Its fun as shit, but I dont really have enough money to get into it. Anyway, I am mostly a road/ commuter biker. Its just different shit. I'm not trying to get anything out of biking, I just love doing it.
