ok, it would prolly be cheaper to live in lake louise, but the snow is usually pretty icy, ya might as well go with whistler, or you can live in squamish or pemberton which are cheaper places to live but still really close to whistler

plus the park is expanding by like 10 rails every winter now

yah lake louise is a sick hill, large park, lots of other terrain, and since its a national park you can tour all over

and if you want actual good snow; not heavy wet powder, then Kicking horse is only an hour from Louise.

Dirty-dreb you couldn't be more wrong. It's not 7 bucks a night to live in Whistler.

Whatever you do never get a job at a ski hill. You are treated like sh*t, you get paid 5.9 and when there's powder your're washing dishes. Work in banff or canmore working the nighlife and ski all day and live in your van at night. Will save you a ton of money plus you getta shred all day.

Never get a job at a ski hill? Ha ha ha. Funny. I work for the company that owns and operates Whistler Blackcomb and I skiied 100+ days this season.

Louise is pretty good, the snow does tend to be icy there though, and it gets pretty windy. Their park was pretty good last year though, the rails are super fun. an hour from Kicking Horse is always a good thing too, you'd almost be better to live in Golden and whenever the snow isn't great Drive to Louise for the park.
Whistler is however Whistler, and the Park is unmatched, it is more expensive though.

Yeah, if you live in Golden, Kicking Horse really is the only close close resort. Like already said, Louise is an hour away. One thing you may have to factor in is whether you have a car or not. In whistler you really dont need one, but if you live in Golden, it really would help to have one, but is not neccassary.
It basically comes down to you and what kind of skiing you want to do. If you are looking for something a little different, go with Golden/Louise. Golden has the best snow. So light. Louise's park is definetly also starting to get up to par with some of the better ones out there. However, Whistler is Whistler. Either way you wont be dissapointed.

from golden, louise is an hour, panorama is an hour and rogers pass is only an hour where theres some sick back country and sledding in revelstoke is only a little over an hour. banff is your best bet or canmore if you want cheaper prices and a more mellow atmosphere. But from there, sunshines 10 minutes, louise is a half hour, fortress and naksiska are a half hour, norquay, is right out your door. goldens an hour, panorama is 1 and a half, fernies 4 hrs, kimberlys 2hrs. you got tons to choose from, but with louises park, goldens terrain, sunshines occasional epic pow day and the few hours to revelstoke to sled its fucken rad, plus the prices are a thousand times beter then whistler. and theres no PST.

Dont work at the Hill. Work in Banff or something. its way cheaper to live in that area than whistler. plus the park gets so much better every year. they had superpark here for snowboading and next even though this year the park was pretty amazing, next year it will be one of the best in North America I bet.
