So yeah i just saw the movie "The American", with George Clooney and i have to say it was a total waist of money, if you wanted to see this movie cause you thought it would have some action, dont cause it was extremely boring. And the sex scene was extremely awkward to see with the family
Yea, I was there with skiminnesota and my dad, and I left and went and watched the Other Guys in the other theater. From their review of it I'm glad I didn't stay....
The film was so beautiful; sparse and clean and moving. The issue yall are having stems from the studio's poor decision in marketing it. Take a look at the trailer:
This is not that movie. The American was shot by a Dutch director in a 70s European classic style. The film won't sit well with most because it doesn't answer the viewer's questions. You never learn Clooney's character's backstory. You never learn why people are after him. There are only 5 or so characters with names. Nobody is running around the world like Jason Bourne shooting up malls. The movie takes place entirely, except for one scene, in rural Italy. The film conveys raw emotion; it is quite simply about two people falling in love. It is deliberately melancholy. Guns and violence feature prominently in the plot, but the action scenes are pretty short and not very special. I absolutely loved it, and I think that anyone who approaches it without expectations will take something meaningful away from it.
well from the trailers i kinda expected this movie to be like a bourne
film or like shooter, but no i was some random guy that we have no prior
knowledge of has to go to italy. The person who he falls in love with
is a prostitute, wew so romantic, Most of the movie he was either
driving, or just walking around the same fucking town.
saw this movie up in whistles, no action and no explanation, but still kinda decent. the sex scene is good but i saw it with the fam to, akward cuz its rlly long and many sounds.
listen here bubba most people dont like to read a review or hints on a movie we mostly go by the trailer, the trailer showed suspense and action, all i got was a boring and awkward movie. I believe the trailer was false advertising and i want my money back, and all the producers of the movie were women, and they picked george clooney, so they picked which girl was goin to take the shot and who was going to get boned by mr.clooney, some women to stay out of the movie business
You actually may be retarded. Please never use the word "bubba;" this is not Arkansas. Just because you are not capable of appreciating cinema as art does not mean that you were ripped off. It means that you are a brain-dead ignoramus.
