Attention Longboarders: What Wheels?

Okay guys, so this summer I really skateboarded hard, but now I like Longboarding just as much. I go to a new school where like everyone legit longboards and has loaded dervishes and knows every slide.

So right now I have a decent setup:

Joel Tudor 38' Sector 9 (good board for sector 9)
Standard Wheels
Abec 7 Bearings
Gullwing Trucks.

I really want to get sliding wheels and everyone at the school says Orangatangs are the way to go.

Now NS I ask you what wheels should I get and if they're otangs, what model?

o'tang stims. 83a(purples). i have them on my apex. IMO they are the perfect wheel. you can slide with them pretty easily, but they dont give out on high speeds. you can get the 86a's(the yellow ones) if your going to be primarily sliding. but if you plan on a fair amount of both speed and slide i would recomend the 83a

otangs are a good choice if you want really slidey wheels get the purple durians there my favourite wheel you can also look at cheaper options like the lime big zigs. I just got these wheels http://phatdeanz.com/Wheels.aspx .There bad ass no one will have them at school and there cheaper than otangs and ride just as nice. The purple in heats are also nice wheels but there take longer to brake in and dont have the smooth slide durians have. Hope that helps

I just got orange otangs this summer, best investment ever. Otangs are definitely the way to go, they're so smooth.

Otangs arent sliding wheels but if you want a sliding wheel get the 86a freeride otangs, rounded lips for smoother slides. But it doesnt matter if you get inheat or freeride, the inheat will still end up rounded and coned, i have 3 pairs of otangs and i killed them all down to the core
