I need some feedback to make the L1P premiere happen

Hey guys, I'm in the process of trying to organize a Level 1 Premiere for Eye Trip this year in october, but I'm having a lot of trouble securing a location due to the extremely short notice and the timeline I have to work with.
I can only put this together if I can anticipate a roughly 300 person attendance, and this is only feasible with your help. I want to make this a kick-ass party and I need your support to make it happen. Ideally I'd like a more central location than last year, but I might have to have it at UBC again because of availability. Last year attendance was around 250 people, in the pouring rain and all the way in UBC.
What I'd like to know is:
1) Was the accessibility a large factor in deciding your attendance?
2) Is $12 a reasonable ticket price?
Thanks for the help guys, and hopefully see you guys soon.

So what's a reasonable ticket price for you? Keeping in mind I have to pay Level 1 for copyrights, prizes etc. and the venue as well.

12 is fine with me. Park Theatre on Cambie? It's super central. Or maybe the Vogue? But that's iffy cause they have a bigger schedule

12 is fine for me and i have no problem going out to UBC again.
also, I bet the Rio theater would consider it but that's probably farther east then I'd like to go.

considering all the skate premieres I went to in the summer were free I'm gonna be the first to say that no, $12 is not a reasonable price.

...
$12 going towards supporting Level 1, and also towards the possibility of it actually happening. If everyone bitches about the price of one movie ticket it won't happen.
Twelve dollars.
One ten dollar bill and a toonie.

Still a valid opinion, but the skate industry and the ski industry is vastly different. They aren't swimming in cash, but they're a LOT better off than us. Just sayin'.

Yea, I don't mind if people are drunk/high (drink or blaze all you want as long as you aren't puking or causing damage), just keep the liquor out of the venue. Not my rules, its theatre policy and fucking it up won't bode well for future events.
Looks like we're well on our way to making this happen, gotta hammer out a few more deets and we're on. Keep Oct. 22 or 23 open.

People that don't use this kind of common sense almost deserve to be kicked out..
It's a bitch cause the theatres and events don't have a liquor license, so legally they have to do it.
And to whoever said plus beer money, it's a given.

That's only because we live so goddamn far away, the rest of Vancouver will have no problem getting there

UBC is hardly central but whatever. 12 is gettin up there but again whatever. 5 or 10 would be more reasonable but again, whatever. As for Jordan gettin the boot last time, what a champ. i hope more people are partying this year cuz so far skiers have proved to be a gang of faggots

umm UBC is no where near the rest of Vancouver. At all. It's out of the way for everybody except people living near UBC. Derp.

Yea, evening. Right now I'm just looking around to see if there's any other events (including concerts, parties etc.) that are on the 23rd. If not, it'll most likely be then.

But the trek we make is like twice as far, a central location would be sick for all of us.
Just a confirmation- MSP is tomorrow night, right?

UBC is fine to have as a venue but as for the ticket prices, not all of us are groms that come from rich north-shore parents and we actually have to pay for things ourselves. Even bill numbers are good. $5, $10, I wouldn't charge more than that because then we can't buy as much beer after. Good luck organizing it. I'll be in attendance if it goes off.
