anyone down for taking out their pow sticks with me opening day / weekend? I'm thrilled to see all of the rediculous looks and comments that i'm going to get from people at springs hahaha

if i can get a ride, which shouldn't be a problem, i'll be there riding my new lifes.

be ready to get asked if you're riding waterskis, if yours skis are broken, and of course, are those powder skis!?!?! x1000.

i was asked if my chetlers work in the "trick ditch" by some guy killin it in a full carhartt suit last season. hahaha gotta love PA.

trickditch roughly translated from pittsburgeeze into english is half-pipe.

also,
snowboard park = terrain park
twin tippers = twin tip skis
snowblades = the best ice schralping tool this side of the ohio river.
slidey grind bar = rail or box
banister = hand rail
helicopter = 360
can you do a backflip = are you a good skier

silly west coast kids taking all the snow that us east coast kids could be skiing with our pow skis, oh, wait, i got 12 pow days with 10 or more inches last year, the best was three feet.

Haha. I knew chronics faded, but i didn't realize until i pulled off the binding how intensely orange they used to be. Not that it actually matters, but it was still interesting.

Have you guy's got anny ideas how to round out the quiver a bit nicer..
Now i have:
Groomer: Rossi
Park: Chronic
Pow: Onelife / Night train

Im thinking about:
Groomer: Rossi
Park/ Allmtn: On3p Jeronimo
All mtn: Rubie / Belafonte
Pow: Night train

I feel like the One Life & Night train will both be a bit pow specific. And there is nothing in between Pow & Park

They CRJs are the softest ski in my quiver by far. I really like them, they feel like "cheater" sticks on a powder day. They are jibby, but beg to be rode fast. The reverse side cut tip and tail is nice for throwing in a slarve here and there when needed in the tight trees. I have rode the S7s, and they feel pretty similar,but the S7s feel more rocked. I think a fat, rockered, reverse side cut tip and tail ski like the CRJ, S7, JJ, or BG will always have a place in my quiver.

huh, i rode JJs for a few days in utah, and loved them. then i skied CRJs, and while the skiing was amazing no matter what, i prefer the JJs by a lot


i actually skied the CRJs the day after CR died on one of the most epic pow days i have ever had. so i hate to say bad things about them. RIP CR.
