Vst plugin ableton help

so i have a mac and i have no idea where to download the vst plugins/or where to put them to be able to make music in ableton...how do i do this...help me

alright, open up your main library folder (the white ableton one). Then the plug ins folder, then the VST folder. drag all your vst files into here.


then in ableton, go to preferences, in the file folder menu turn the use custom vst folder option, then hit rescan. All the vst's should pop up in the plug in menu
