I remember reading from maybe a Momentum update a long time ago that Mike Riddle 180d of the last mogul before the kicker and switch cork 9'd.

mike riddle did switch 5's in the bumps back in the day. At like juniors nationals and provincial level comps.

trying to do it at like competitive mogul speed would be so sketch though, those jumps are not very wide, the transitions are short and you are skiing really fast. Seriously like any double would be easier than a switch 5 IMO

ONe of my best friends went to a ski acadamy in Sweden and one of his friends did a 5 or somethign on the last jump in a comp (there's usually only a couple moguls after the last jump I believe) and he lost points because of it.

Some pro said that kids should try to ski bumps switch, cus it will make you way more comfortable riding switch. I can't remember who though...Maybe Candide? Completely escaping my mind.

way way way back on the TV they had some comp called ultimate bumps and jumps. it was a normal mogul course but instead of the 2nd jump it was a down flat rail and the finish line was a kicker. Candide did his run that included a switch hit on the first jump that was really sick. but a whole run switch in moguls would be insane to try.

Yea it is possible to hit a jump switch -that is if you are good enough to turn switch and prepare for take off in a matter of a split second - yet to actually ski moguls fakie or especially to land a trick fakie and keep on going is pretty much impossible.

I've always thought about going 9 on the bottom jump and skiing the lower section switch. Most courses are basically a straight line out to the finish (with turns pretended to be made for turn points) so i reckon it would be possible on some courses.

But the revert to switch 5 is a pretty sick effort.

Basically, it's not really possible, because your knees don't bend in the right direction to allow you to ski in balance. If you skiied the right line, ie around the shoulders of the moguls, it could be doable, but never in the same way comp bumpers do it forwards now. I would really really love to see someone prove me wrong though.

I was at that comp and it was sick watching Candide and Pep throw down the day before the comp during practice. As far a skiing switch in moguls, it's possible for a few bumps, but after 2 or 3, you gotta find a smooth bump to butter a one and get that shit going back down the hill regular.

garret russel does switch moguls. not like real moguls like he was trying to win a race, but some spaced out ones. It's in one of the first season TC's.

in competitive moguls, people have gone down the course and then jumped into switch off the last mogul before the jump, to set up for an off axis 5. sounds pretty crazy
