In a thread a second ago and Halo got brought up. Instantly, classic memories of Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, and now Reach swarm to mind. But, I think overall Halo 1 dumped on all other competitor's chests. Bar none.
I loved playing halo multiplayer online. it was before online console gaming was incorporated into the xbox via live, so there weren't any annoying kids, just legit players.
I have only played Halo and after the first levels it got really boring with almost identical repeating corridors and similar swarms every corner. Still, the Halo level is an amazing experience and I got to give it to the difficulty of Legendary - never made it past the beach on Silent Cartographer.
halo one is the shit. i remember me and my friend used to kill each other next to the warthog, and then throw a nade on top of the other nades and send the warthog into the ocean with someone on the gunner... good times.
Halo 1 was sick, but there was a PC version that owned it. Online multiplayer that was REALLY well made and fun, with some PC exclusive maps, flying vehicles, up to 16 players, and there were even some new weapons. Loved the original though, that multiplayer was some of the most fun I've ever played.
No way. On the PC version I didn't even bother tracking down weapons when playing online against other people, half the time I just used my pistol. That pistol slayed.
Well I wasn't able to appreciate Halo CE as much as I would have liked because I wasn't really playing video games until 2003-04ish but I really enjoy all of them a lot.
