Rivets for Capped Skis

Anyone ever tried or heard of installing your own rivets on capped skis to prevent delam?

Just picked up a pair of '08 Invaders. I was looking for a super soft and playful ski, but I've heard from a few sources that these can be prone to delam just depending how much abuse they take.

Hoping maybe I could throw a few rivets in the tip and tail to help prevent that.

Any suggestions? +K for serious help here.

Ive never had invaders but i didnt think they were capped. oh well thats not the point, point is delaming is really not that bad. Sure you look down and see the side of your ski and say, "OMGZZZ they are falling apart." But delaming will not effect the performance of your ski so I would not worry about it

check out tgr, ive seen a few people repare their delamed skis by installing rivets, so I dont see a reason why it shouldnt work to do it from the get go

I'll be sure to check it out.

If throwing a few rivets will help reinfroce the ski, I'm game for the work.

And the invaders are capped. "Fibercapped" as Line calls it.

Only do it to repair them after they delam, if they delam. And use t-nuts.
