Just pre ordered a Nikon d3100 and was wondering what other people shoot with.

include lenses, etc.

and for video, what FPS do you normally use for skiing?

With the HVX, if I know I won't be doing slow motion, I shoot at 720p30p. If I might do slow motion, I shoot at 720p 60:30p.

As for the T2i, if I won't be doing slow motion, I shoot at 1080p24p. If I might, I shoot at 720p60p.

update!!!!

just ordered a 7d and a 17-40mm for it, full rail system with top handle(so can be used like a conventional camcorder), follow focus, matte box

As for lighting, I have lots.  9 or 10 strobe heads ranging from 800-1600 watt/s as well as any size softbox you can imagine, most are doubles.  A couple beauty dishes for different heads.  A ton of rigging gear from small lightstands to 15 footers.  I won't go into more detail as the list will get really large for no good reason.

It is pretty sweet to shoot with although you have absolutely no room for error and it is hard to shoot with. Definitely a different experience stepping up to medium format from small format digital.

yea, even though I still use it all the time it's been giving me little video glitches lately. I bought it with a lifetime satisfaction guarantee, planning on bringing it back once this shit started. It'll be nice to get the original msrp back, I think it was like $3k.

Sorry it took so long but here are the pictures finallly !!! just have to trim up the carbon fiber rods so they arent as long and add some more canon lenses to the collection (im a nikon guy so i only have one canon lense)
