I would ignore what that guy said hahahaha. I would concur with your playoff assessment. The Giants and Rockies are hot, but the ESPN heads are creating a good bandwagon stage for them. Pitching has always, and will always, will win in it in the end. Rarely does a team with huge offence do anything against a team with a pure, nasty, disgusting starting rotation and bullpen.
I'm a Yankees fan and I will admit they won't be doing shit in the playoffs if they continue with their lack of run production and having CC being the only one doing work pitching wise. I have personally picked the Twins as the sleeper. Why? Because I feel they are the most consistent team out there right now. Looking over the season they have had few losing streaks and have a strong command of the Central AL right now. If their pitching staff can stay gold in the playoffs and the offence keeps doing what it's been doing, they have a pretty solid chance. It just amazes me how little the talking heads on ESPN recognize this. Overall, their team is a much stronger team than the one the Yankees rolled over last year (despite that really, really terrible foul ball call). Moreover, the Twins are also sneaking their way closer to that best record and home field.
With that in mind, I would say Twins vs Phillies is a very real possibility. The NL is a mess though (but in an exciting good way), and I feel there will be some big upsets coming.
