tell me you wouldn't switch to one of the best technical brands in the world that has products ranging from mountaineering to streetwear. the three athletes now signed made good choices. they're gonna have amazing outerwear, and not to mention they'll get paid so much guap.

Yea man we should make them suffer financial because their not supporting core companies. Honestly anyone with this attitude doesn't understand the concept that you need money to do almost anything in this world. In addition with freeskiing being a limited career as it is, are you honestly trying to blame the athletes for selling out when there just trying to financially support there lives? ^lol what most people don't know is that there were a couple of TNF jackets thesat were huge inner city trend, just like pro player parkas were, both in the early 90's. North face was getting hyphy when the hyphy movement started, not 10yrs after mac dre died

I'm actually stoked cause hopefully northface, which makes incredibly high quality stuff, will now start making that high quality stuff in versions park skiers enjoy wearing.


but i would lol if Tom came to xgames or something just wearing super tight and grey gaper stuff that doesnt reach your boots haha

I can guarantee that the people who are considered the hyphiest AKA Mac Dre, E-40, Meth, ODB all wore north face at some point and they sure as hell weren't wearing Orage or Jiberish. North Face has been in the hood far longer than anything or anyone on this site.

It's just clothes, they're all the same. Made by small hands in China just like everything else. Good for Nick, Tom, and whoever else got in on this. Clothes are just clothes. Good skiers getting money is what really matters.

Bingo. The North Face is an OG brand in the world of Hip Hop. Shit was all over the place back in the day. Dudes wearing Scott Schmidt style Steep Tech coats in NYC. People still rock it. Stores are filled with TNF there.

They definitely lost their way for a number of years and regained their footing in skiing by supporting a new era of rippers like Sage, Dana, Ingrid and Ian, backed up by a solid marketing push in print and support of such staples as TGR. The past few collections have been baggy with longer coats and their foray into the world of park and pipe will ensure they take their technology and apply it it in more youthful forms with the help of the new crew.

They have always supported skiing, but now they are back and doing it right again. We'll see, it could be cool.
