i had a t-7 burst fx and t-8 fx
took a year to get out of my brace...year and half to find out i can start groomers again
long road'd
ya i was lucky not to have a fusion
i think my jump days are over too...i reqally hope i can schlapp pow and hit a cliff or two though
(mhh explaining my injury in english is hard, i try it anyway:) i broke my tibia plateau with cracks into my knee (comminuted fracture)
the first day at the hospital there was a chance of loosing my leg (amputation) luckily they didn't do it!
it was along time in the hospital and and after 6 month i could start walking again! i pushed the recovery hard (really put all my energy into that which made me loose a year at university) and now i can do everything again...(except that i lost all my fasttwitch muscles for sprinting and jumping!)
what i recommend u:
- get a physiotherpist that pushes u hard and is strict!
- do recovery as much as possible (i did even more that they said i should do)
- BE 200% COMMITEDYOUR HEAD that it will all be good in the end! this will help a lot!!
what was one of my problems during recovery: i was totally focused on my legs...and didn't care much about my back/core ( lost a lot of muscles there too, cause i was in bed for such a long time) so now i have some minor backproblems, but i'm working on it :)
i know i hadn't a back injury...but a hard one on my leg so i thought i post here!
STAY POSITIV
+ when u can do a lot of exercices again, do stuff with and on slacklines, it's so good for ur backstabilisation!
(sry my english, hope u'll understand it)
