Surface V Moment

So I get 15% off of Surface and 20% off of Moment so now I have to decide between the two. I'm 5'9" and 165 and am using these as pow skis for this year at brighton. I'b between the new belefonte and the skullcandy colab live lifes. Which would you guys recommend me goin with? And what bindings would be good for em? Oh and im planning on the 181 surfaces and 182 moments. Thanks and +K!

I would be a lot more willing to throw my money at Surface than Moment. Plus they are local to you Surface always does a bunch of events at Brighton! And I do believe the Live Lifes are cheaper so even with a bigger discount on Moment the Live Lifes will leave more cash in your pocket!

Im guessing that the colab with skullcandy will bump the price up on the skullcandys though.. but good point with surface being local.

Go with the Belafonte but my opinion is very biased. I've had 8 pairs of Moments since '07 and haven't had a problem with durability on any them. Maybe 2 or 3 core shots total and I ski pretty hard and in places most people don't venture. Good friend of mine was fortunate to ski the 192 Belafonte (he's 6+, 200lbs) most of last season and is selling all his skis to make this his everyday ski.

i have nothing but good things to say about moment.

my bibbys are still almost mint after two years of skiing at big sky, with the amount of rocks we have here my bases should NOT look as good as they do, some minor scratches but nothing deep.

and their customer service is awesome, they had a production problem with the bibbys the year i got em, and they contacted me the minute they figured it out, and mailed me new skis before i mailed the old ones out even.


that being said, surface is a rad company as well, and if they do good stuff for your local hill, definitely support them.

mannn this is roughh! I seriously cant decide.. Im starting to lean towards the moments. Does anyone know when the surface X's are gonna be available to buy? And also what bindings would you guys go with on these skis?

The SurfaceXskullcandy Live Life is $625 retail.. so only $25 bucks more!  They will be shipped to customers by Halloween!

I have ridden pretty much every rocker ski from all of the bigger companies and I can testify that it is one of the best all mountain pow skis I have ever been on.

The live life is the lightest ski of any in its category really lively very powerful underfoot but softer tip and tail keep it forgiving and floating on top! the rocker/sidecut/camber make this ski a blast in any condition!

Alright so its a 50 dollar difference after all is said and done.. ive never been able to make it into your store but do you guys offer mounting at causwell? could i get a deal if I buy the live lifes from you guys? Im guessing you guys are where this deal is coming form for one love.. let me know!

yea, i just got my reno jibs in the mail (i know they are park skis) and they seem sooo legit. they are so light and nice. i'd say moment!
