So i have a pair of deadbolt bindings that I was basically going to toss in the garbage because the toe piece cracked and fell off. I got in touch with 4frnt and they graciously offered to send me the parts free of charge. They even included a sticker pack. Just want to say thanks and this has definitely won you a long time customer. Respect
that is awesome. I had a pair of Salomon bindings a while back that basically exploded after less than a season - had multiple cracks through the base plates - and they've not done anything for me, even though they were under warranty still.
ya i had the exact same thing happen to me and i only used them for a week and they basically exploded on me and they didnt do anything for me either. major disapointment in salomon.probably wont buy from them again
I absolutely love the way 4FRNTS skis ride, their durability just doesn't do it for me, considering i ruined a pair in the early part of abays season last year.
thats good to hear. Companies should realize how good stuff like this is for their image. No matter how much you spend on advertising its not the same as hearing positive stories.
I just wanted to add another one against Salomon. I broke the heel piece on a pair of their bindings and they weren't able to do anything for me either. That's great about 4frnt though. They seem to be a great company, thought I've never tried any of their products.
yep yep.. not to offend anyone, but i'm boycotting salomon for a good while. my STH 16's brakes continuously broke, and over last winter i spent $120 on brakes.. salomon failed to even give me a response
wow thats lame. I generally have not been impressed by salomon, they seem like one of those big companies that just coasts on past success, and doesnt really make new customers a priority, because by their name alone they get a lot of new customers.
no man their bindings are super nice. i got some deadbolts for some hellbents and needed wider breaks and they hooked up me there too. Super nice of them. I love their bindings. Although i cannot say anything about their skis since i've not heard anything about them, but i know sterbenz is super cool.
My deadbolts started breaking the first day I used them and they eventually exploded which is very dangereous therefore they are shitty bindings. It's just my experience though maybe it's just bad luck
Sorry to hear that. We want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the performance and safety of your gear. Give us a call at 801.975.9500 or email us at customerservice at 4frnt.com and we'll work something out. Thanks.
FWIW, these were old Vist style Deadbolts, which is an Italian manufacturer well known in Europe. We have not had any broken afd's (stands for anti-friction device and is what the toe of your boot sole sits on) on Deadbolts since we switched to a Tyrolia platform. They are much more durable now.
i think its jsut bad luck you've broken like 6 pairs of bindings in the last yr lool. 4frnt has gotten way more legit with time, the guy working for them i forgot his name right now hookes it up for us whenever we go to the factory. all those people work there truly for the love of the sport!
4frnt is the biggest small company (smallest big company?) I know of. The have grown enough to rub elbows with the big boys but they never grew out of taking care of their customers. Sterbenz is one of the chillest people to talk to or ride with. If something is wrong, let him no and he'll do right by you one way or another. Everyone at 4frnt works their asses off everyday to share skiing the way they see it. All summer long Hoji and Cody Barnhill have been slaving at the press to get all the renegades built. Meanwhile other folks there have been busting their butts to make a new store which is being kicked off with an eyetrip party with free food and goodies. The whole of 4frnt is legit.
I ordered wide brakes for my Deadbolt 18's. The shipping up to Regina, Sk was going to be as much as the brakes themselves. I ordered them and got a call a day or two later. Whoever I talked to let me know they were bummed I had to pay so much for shipping and asked for my shirt size. Not too long after I got my brakes and a shirt. I don't think I would buy their skis, but the bindings are great and the customer service is amazing.
I could add to the Solly horror stories, but I'd only be repeating exactly what everyone else as said.
Threads like this do more for me than any banner ad or facebook competition ever will. All I ask of my kit is that it rides well and is durable. I honestly don't care who a company has on its team, or how much money it throws at plastering comps with their banners, knowing that my shit won't break, and if it does, the company's got me, is all I want.
