Where in the rules for baseball does it allow for fights? As far as I'm not concerned that's not part of baseball and therefore does not make baseball tough.

If you're playing ping pong and start throwing fists that doesn't make ping pong tough.

Portland Seadogs produce some of best current baseball players. Josh Becket, Hanley Ramirez, Clay Bucholtz, Jonathan Papelbon, Dustin Pedroia.

Dude fuck yeah! The playoffs in baseball are one of the best parts of the game.

To the guy above. I can't even imagine trying to make contact with the ball. Pitching is another tough part of the game too.

Things about baseball that are harder than they look:

Fielding a well hit grounder skipping on the infield dirt
Judging a towering fly ball
Fucking Hitting a Curveball
Getting the fuck out of the way at 2nd turning a double play.


Best Parts:

Making a spectacular play in the field
Turning a double play
Getting an extra base hit
Sitting on the Bench eating double bubble.

Edit: Especially when some of the breaking pitches come into play. you have less than a quarter second to recognize the pitch(which in itself can be extremely difficult) gauge the speed, trajectory, and location. and ultimately decide to swing or not. Sounds simple enough right?

Solid point. you cant try to pull a ball thats pitched on the outside of the plate. Hitting the ball where its pitched is crucial.

I hate baseball for the single reason that I live near the baseball hall of fame, and have to put up with the stupid baseball families every single summer. Makes me never want to play and watch baseball ever again. And I used to play, I stopped to do track, and play tennis. Yea, I said it.

Other sports like football allow hitting and generally take a huge physical toll every week, making them tough

false. I played both throughout high school and soccer might have more contact, but whoever takes soccer actually serious is a pussy. Baseball on the other hand is america's past time and an awesome well thought game. It's not nearly as boring to watch (although I personally enjoy watching baseball), try watching a soccer game for two hours and tell me you don't feel like a pussy

for sure. I love when people say that baseball is so easy. If you dont have a decent arm you suck dick which is the majority of people, also if you throw like a girl which most kids do once again. Then you need the form to put it all together which takes years and years and years to become fluent in and become a good baseball player. Oh and hitting a baseball going 80+ isnt the easiest thing to do either.
