Recommend an excellent pipe ski

i need to get learned on ski construction and what's gonna work best in the pipe. i plan on training in the pipe and competing, on an amateur level, this winter and would like a ski that might help step my game up a little. i've been teetering between pro pipes or older dumonts, considering i'm not using them for rails durability shouldn't be an issue. i've also contemplated snagging some pipe cleaners. i'm not really confined to these skis though so offer up any advice.

before you recommend a ski, if you haven't ridden it, i don't want to hear your opinion. and i didn't really make an attempt to searchbar so let me have it if i deserve it.

armada pipe cleaners....end thread..one of the best skis i have ever ridden..stiff poppy..not a good park and rail ski but they rail groomers and pipe

Get the pipe cleaners such a good ski great flex for the pipe but if you get them you will need to wax them pretty much every time you use the to keep

i havent ridden the pipe cleaners before but i own JJ's with 50/50 base, wich has a mix between the s7 base and comp series base that armada puts on they're skis. its suuuper fast, noticeably faster than other skis and its not even the full comp series base that the pipe cleaner has. i mean i dont ski pipe thaaat often but if i was running low on speed and needed a little more for the next hit, i'd want a fast base like the pc's. i've also ridden t halls in the past, super poppy and fun to ride, armadas been doing it right for years now. cant go wrong with them.

I rode Pipecleaners for a while and loved them for all aspects of park skiing, bases are durable and if you wax them up every week or so they are very fast indeed.  The TNK would also be a nice pic, but it's likely to be a pair of pieces of skis by the end of the season.  Durability is poor on 4FRNT's park skis.

Exactly, 825 or whatever I made up isn't in most peoples budgets.  The skis are much cheaper than 825- I was just trying to make the point that because you were too lazy to look it up (takes 2 seconds), you believed some random number I threw out there and took it as the truth.  The skis are actually priced at about 500.  They are real durable, poppy, light and fun to ride.  I would for sure reccommend them as a great pipe ski.  If a purchase is as big as a pair of skis, I would reccommend you do research such as the price of the ski on your own, don't be lazy about it.

pipe cleaners are incredible. awesome flex, and super fast.


and anyone who says the bases are less durable is lying, or didnt treat them properly. race bases do dry out more quickly, and when they are dry they get brittle, if you want them to last youre gonna need to wax once every 2-3 days out. but as long as you keep em waxed, they will actually be harder and more durable than a normal base.

I absolutely loved the hell out of my pipe cleaners man. If you want a pair of 181s for cheap and in pretty good condition still hit me up. Just 125 shipped for a great ski that still kills the pipe. Race base makes a huge difference. These things are fast as hell and super fun
