ive got a onetouch mini thing that i use skiing, i keep it in my front pocket. Sometimes it gets cold and wont turn on but if you hold it a few minutes it gets warm enough to work
Hey Ive been skiing with it for 7 years. As Long as you have it under your jack it wont freeze. I always keep like starburst in my pocket too if i do low.
one touch mini kit and medtronic minimed pump, never hav had a problem with cold weather while skiing, just keep it in my pocket under my snow pants. i carry lifesavers/starbursts with me when i get low
just a thought, do you guys carry a paper with your condition on? my buddy has a list and instructions what to do since some bint at the gym said that she wanted to give insulin when he was havin a hypo..scareeee
medtronic minimed pump in my ski pants pocket, never had a problem. one touch in my pack/pocket, sometimes I gotta warm it up with my hands before its usable.
check out the omnipod. It sits on your skin and you can wear it on your arm or hip. It is a very small unit so you will not notice it at all. Works well in cold and heat and is water proof. Kris Freeman a olympic skier in cross country with type 1 swears by it and he is in the cold all the time
the star soccer player at my school has to test sometimes in the middle of the game so he has to test really quick then eat starburts without being out of position or anything.... kids good too
