Wind Breaker/ Shell help.

So i commute to college and parking is a bitch. The temp is starting to drop and i want some type of light jacket/ shell/ windbreaker that is somewhat waterproof but isnt too heavy so i dont sit in class sweating from wearing a heavy jacket. any suggestions are appreciated.

Try out a softshell.... I bought the backcountry.com one on sale (I guess it's discontinued or something 'cause it's not on their site) and it was pretty sick. I ended up sending it back cause I didn't really end up needing it and they have a sick return policy... But softshells are sweet--they have prettty much everything you listed that you want. i'd recommend going out and trying them on though, just in case it's not what you're expecting..it was definitely a little different than what I thought it was going to be. But they're great for class too cause they breath real well, the one I had did at least

i have a voleurz windbreaker. very light really comfy. i was wearing it while it started to rain and i didnt get wet. i'd say go with voleurz if you have the money

softshells are sweet, dakine and armada both make some waterproofish hoodies which are pretty sweet. backcountry has a lot of softshells too
also right now on this website, the clymb, you can get a trew softshell for only $70

im sure if you looked around you could get a packable goretex jacket (paclite) for real cheap. i scored one for under 100.
