a kid from my high school just committed suicide on thursday night. i'm not friends with him, but i knew him. he seemed fine even towards the end of the school day that day, so it was shocking when everyone got the news. does anyone know what causes people to do something so rash? it isn't possibly the only way out.

no i didn't but this is the second suicide this year at my high school. i didn't know the girl who did it a couple months ago, but it's still sad. i wonder if this guy knew how much he affected everyone at school

it happens when people get soo depressed and they don't beleive that life is worth living, soo sad.
my ex bf tryed to commit suicide, popped 74 tylenol or something, almost died, it was crazy. my neighbor, and elderly man, dropped his wife off next door and then went out to the back yard and shot himself in the head with a rifel. very sad. last year a guy a my school jake renner died in his sleep from ODing on his heart medication, his younger brother found him that morning, it was thanksgiving morning. a kid at the school right next to mine, he left school during study hall, went out to the golf course right by and hung him self by his back pack on a tree by the driving range.

very sad...

And it makes me see, every puff that I breathe, potent herbs and leaves could ease the world . . .

if your walking down the halls of your school and someone looks like they are sad, even if youve never seen the person befor or you dont like them, just give them a smile and say hi. You have no idea how powerful a smile can be, it can change someone outlook on life completly, it can even stop things like suicide... and its such an easy thing to do.

we had one kid who commited suicide, shot himself in the face, didnt find him for 4 months cause of the snow, and a lonley kid hung himself at New England College last year. weird thing is, is that it looks like it was all setup wrong so it might be a murder.

i dont believe its anyones busisness what i have done, but my grandfather shot himself after many years of depression. He dealt drugs for a living and just wasnt happy. it was just what was right for him. teens who do stuff to themselves for attention are fucked up. but i do believe that there are some out there who do need help. im still getting mine like i have been for several years. just be nice guys. its not that hard.

yea i have befriended the lil suicidial creepy kid in my study hall. the kind of kid your just like wow this kid could soo shoot up the school. hes 18 and a senior and tells us stories about how he has brought guns to school before and how he ran away from home at 13. he drwas me pictures of like black crows and like devils, and the guy that means your gonna die with the thing in his hand, yea i forget the name. but he always smiles at me in the halls and says hi to me, i think hes a happier person now. i feel i have doone my part.

Accutane is some bad shit.. Throws off your hormones and no matter what will make you incredibly depressed. Determetoligists will give it to anyone too, unless you alreay have problems. It pretty much ruins 5 months of your life though, definitely not worth it.

yea my school is fucked up and every single year since before the older people I know went there (they are 24) a senior dies every fucking year. Last year one of my best friends hung himself and a couple years ago a kid from my neighborhood shot himself. Its like a wierd curse or some shit does this happen any where else? Last summer one kid in my grade died after falling off of a car onto his head while it was going like 5mph, and another kid was randomly found dead in a basement in milwaukee for no reason. Shit i dont know there are way to many fucked up deaths in such a small high school

Cry me a river, dont blame the drug because you have a problem asserting yourself in society, take some responsibility, and build a backbone. It takes a helluva lot more than accutane for somebody to lose it, plus its not like 12-18 are the most emotionally stable moments of your life

I agree P-jo, his comment on acne medication clearly had homoerotic undertones. Clearly Pete's gay. Now that I'm finished being sarcastic, don't make dumb comments. Pete, you obviously didn't react to the drug, but given the prevalence of the side effects, it probably isn't a good thing for people to be using. Especially those who are desperate enough to take meds for acne... as if people cared. I mean if you really have a problem with it, ok, but seriously... just a moderate case? Live with it. i actually attempted suicide once, i wasnt on accutane yet tho, just when i was gonna slit my wrists the phone rang, and it was my future ex gf, who also had some of the biggest breasts in the school. Divine intervention? its possible. She kinda had a deeper voice than me at the time, but hey, i'm gettin sidetracked.

when i get down in the dumps i normally just get on NS and watch sumthin that i know is funny. it normally cheers me up. i can't believe dermatologists and other medical professionals even prescribe Accutane. That stuff sounds horrible. and yeah, moderate acne sucks, but isn't worse thatn feelin like shit every day. Acne happens to pretty much everyone. and i think if Accutane helps, thats great, but i tihnk if sumone is persribed it, they should be closely monitored, but secretly for the first few weeks to make sure they aren't buggin out.

yeah suicide is a crazy thing...i've had two friends kill themselves, couldnt tell that either one of them was depressed. one of them sufficated themselves when she was wasted because she got in a huge fight with her best friend, and her last comment to her was, 'you'll regret this tomorrow'. like yall have said drugs can lead to things, but watch out when your friends drink as well b/c alcohol can increase the chances of suicide if they're depressed at all. lifes too short, cherish every moment and your friends and family

^^The alcohol making you more depressed thing is only true for some people. It is for me, but I know others who are actually successful in drowning their sorrows; they can forget their problems when they're drunk, especially with a bunch of friends. That isn't necessarily a good thing by any means, though, a guy I know is a bit of a borderline alcoholic because of it.

Lateralis...the reason roy or anyone wouldn't be able to pull the trigger is because they want to live. If your depressed then you don't want to live hence it being easier to kill yourself and an easy way out. Thus making you a 'pussy'.
