i was at revolver last night and i couldnt help noticing the ski that all of the salomon riders were riding. it wasnt a czar because some of them rode czars in it too. it looked wider and more rocker but im not sure...
doesnt the rocker have a swallow tail though? this was definately a twin and i dont think it was the el dictator because the bases were just black and white.
it might just be a prototype and may not go into production, kind of like the rocket-shaped pow skis that salomon was making for its athletes about a year ago.
This thread is now about the El Dictator. Has anyone else tried them? They require some serious cajones. I took them for a few runs and the first pitch nearly made me crap myself and then I wrestled then into submission. If they could talk they would swear like a sailor and be adamant that turning is for pussies. If they could eat, they would eat lightening and shit thunder. They are the Courage Wolf Pro Model.
this, haven't seen anything about it on ns, but there has been lots of talk about it on tgr, and mike D says he hasnt been so stoked on a ski sense the og pocket rocket
I'm a 6'3" and I was probably 150lbs at the time and they were fun but definitely required some time to get used to especially coming off of noodle like EP's. Wouldn't buy imo just because that's not the kind of ski I like even though I enjoyed them at the time.
it's to bad too, after years of disliking salomon skis i was going to give them a chance this year because of the dictator, plus the czar and rocker would make a very well rounded quiver, not to mention the re release of the 916. oh well, maybe in a few years when they've compensated dalton for what happened.
