Liberty Phil Laroses are currently my urban/backyard/preseason rail-jam ski...however, they're in amazing condition, their edges are perfect, bases are awesome - such a durable ski, not to mention SUPER light and poppy. I'd go with the Phil Laroses, such an awesome ski.
cant wait to get my laroses from my sis she had 178s and she has beat the fuck out of them no edge cracks only top sheet damage and they have a ton of life left cause of the bamboo core they are goin to be my park intro/fuck around ski
The Laroses are so sick. Great for spinning, super nice flex to them, pretty durable til I snapped the tail on a front flip, but I'm 6'4 200 lbs. Liberty sent me a brand new pair of LTE's right away, no questions asked.
Bunch of buddies ride the Le Compte's and love them also though.
i own laroses, and i've skied le comte's i didnt like the 9's. i'd go with liberty, amazing warranty (3 yrs) superrrrr poppy, and maddd light. i love them, buy them
I had a pair of Liberty Phil Larose Pro's and I am finally retiring them after 3 years. They probably saw 50ish days each year and were super durable. They were my everything ski and were used from October to May and have held up amazing. I have one slight edge crack towards the tip where i dropped it in a parking lot and one core shot where i landed on some rocks.
The skis are amazing they have become rockered out at this point but i did use them for fast icy east coast turns which were likely to contribute to this. They are now bent up pretty heavily but could still likely be used as a rock ski or urban ski. I'm giving them to my friend who is new to the sport and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Go with Liberty.
