Replying to Season Pass Anger and Price Inflation
begin rant/
I just want to focus on some bullshit really quick.
As a student in Colorado, I paid $99 for a pass at Eldora, a legit ass mountain, just a bus ride away from my place.
Butternut is charging $275 for a seasons pass, which is OKAY, but still pretty god damn expensive for someone who eats Ramen 6 nights a week and who's mommy & daddy won't buy a season's pass for them. For those of you who have that exclusive privilege, don't say nuthin, or I might find you, eat your pass, and then shit it out on your chest.
Now here's what really chaps my ass. The two main CT mountains, Sundown and Southington, seriously must be smoking the good shit. By good shit, of course, I mean crack cocaine.
$479 and $435 for a pass? Are you actually joking me?
No student discounts?
Asshole managers in vests and oversized boots, patrolling the mountain on foot, asking to see passes?
Shitty, smelly, dumpy facilities (well... mostly Southington) that need a fresh coat of paint and an overall attitude adjustment?
I'm seriously, seriously pissed off that I have to drive 1.5 hours to Butternut, when I COULD'VE driven 30 god damn minutes to Southington to enjoy their mediocre park, and grom patrol. I really would've paid $300 dollars, AND the ludicrous notion of a park pass fee. Possibly even $325. But that much? REALLY?
Please share your opinions on this matter...
