This is true. Everyone wants the problems from Bush's reign over the US to be fixed instantly but this won't happen. Obama has has had the hardest first year ever with swine flu, a failing economy cause by the Bush regime and a major oil spill in the gulf. One man can't clean up the mess of shit himself while his people sit back and bitch about how he is scooping hard enough when there is just another heard of bloated elephants on there way. What has Obama done? He has quadrupled the budget deficit, increased troops in the middle east, increased government spending, handled the oil spill incredibly poorly, and above all, increased taxes, all are things (besides the unforseeable oil spill) that he promised not to do. Granted, the oil spill was caused by ignorance, but it was also handled with such. I'm not saying Bush was a great president, I'm just saying look at the facts. Obama hasn't done much for us either. He doesn't seem to be trying to clean the mess at all.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Pulling troops out by 2011 and increasing troops in the meantime was one of the promises of his election, same as Hillary's. Increasing government spending, raising taxes, and Liberal economy policies, as well as increasing Federal powers are all what LIBERAL DEMOCRATS do. We voted a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT into office. Remember that he still belongs to a party in which all those things you bitched about (sans oil spill) are implied in the election process.

Let's look at the things he has done:

Bailout. Good or bad. The economy was already so badly in the shitter that you can't really blame this on anyone but previous policy makers.

Health Care plan. Badly thought out, un-compromisingly partisan policy that went unopposed because Republicans and Conservatives sat on their hands and didn't contribute shit to the argument.

War. He's already initiated the pulling out of troops. Hooray, the war is ending.

Increasing Taxes. What about LIBERAL DEMOCRAT don't you understand? We need to raise taxes at a time like this, when Income taxes are the lowest they've ever been. Quit complaining. Shit costs money. As long as it's not grossly inflated (which it won't be), you have no reason to complain.

Oil Spill. I guess calling in 20,000 national guard troops to clean up a spill caused by a publicly traded company is not enough. And since when is it up to the Government to clean up messes caused by private companies?

Quadrupled Deficit. To pay for two wars, a wrecked economy, and retarded policies you have to do something. What would you rather he'd done? Sat on his hands and wait it out? He could've done the bailout better, but something had to be done to help stimulate the economy.

Read up on his policies.

Obama is not a "liberal" he is definatly a middle of the road democrat.

And health care, increadibly comprmises were made, the public option was taken out, that was one of the biggest things the dems gave up on the bill. there was alot of compromise on it, also, bob bennet (ut senator) helped draft it.

I saw a graph the other day that included budget numbers and then had the Iraq and Afghan wars on the bar in a different color. The past two years said bars have increased almost 5 times.

Yes, Bush did spend a lot and I won't deny that. But FUCK man, Obama, we are in debt but you want to spend MORE?! Last I checked when you are in debt one of the last things you want to do is spend more and dig the hole deeper.

PLUS, he wants another 50 billion in stimulus spending. In the last stimulus bill hasn't like 1/2 of it not even been used yet? It's just sitting there?

You don't really know how the economy works, do you? 90% of it is faith-based buying and spending. The more people feel safe that America has money, and that their futures are not jeopardized by irresponsible spending, the more they'll spend frivolously. That's more cars bought, more jobs generated, and more money invested. When people here that the economy is going to collapse, they hang onto their savings and don't spend a cent, which helps cause the collapse. When Obama pumps money into things like Cash for Clunkers and other programs, he's trying to essentially lure the citizen into a state of complacency, so that he'll begin to spend his money again. The illusion of stability is possibly the most fundamentally important part of economic success.
