what would you guys think is the best way to get a 16 foot 2x4 from the hardware store to my house (probly about 3 mile distance) without using a truck?

tie it with string to the roof. the hardware store will probably help you get it strapped onto your car somehow tho.

just set it on your roof then have people sit in your passenger and back seats and reach out the window and hold it down, it's only a 2x4 so it won't take off on you like a sheet of plywood tries to.

get there, buy the wood, then figure something out. thats usually the best way.

open up the back drivers side window, put the 2x4 in diagnally, so that the front of it is in the passanger side, and then let the rest hang out the window.

if the road is smooth the whole way there and you have OK ground clearence, strap it to the underside of your car.

fashion a catapult out of home depot supplies and catapult your 2x4 3 miles back to your house. then keep your catapult for comic purposes and drive home but whatever you do, don't fire your catapult on nerds who are capable of making a better catapult

just put the end of it all the way up on the dash against the windshield and it shouldnt stick that far out of the back

do you need it to be 16' long? if not they'll usually cut if for you there at the store
