Sparknotes (some from other articles): Nuclear fusion possible. Laser that can create fusion exists, but the power required to fire it does not. It can shoot once every few hours, but it would need to be nearly continuously firing to create nuclear fusion as a viable energy source. So far, the technology does not exist, though scientists are hopeful, and predict a solution may be found within twenty years

7 of the top 10 power sources are hydroelectric, which just happens to be a renewable resource. as for wind, its pretty damn good. but people just hate them cause they think theyre ugly or some stupid reason. and if you have them on your property (a lot of farmers near me do) you get paid a lot just for hosting them, along with free power.
