After a good sesh on my laptop i went to bed for a few hours woke up to retrieve my laptop from lack of sleep and someone in my house has smashed the lcd screen. and as much as i love my laptop it was time to retire it. So i turn to you ns, please help me find a good deal on a legit used macbook

have you tried the refurbished section on apple.com? they have good deals in there sometimes especially if they are about to release an updated MBP. And they come fully warrantied.

I got my little brother an absolutely PIMPED out 15" studio Xps for $700 less than the Apple equivalent. 8Gb DDR3, 500gb Sata, 3.8ghz overclocked (2.9 normal), 64 bit Windows 7 OS, free mouse, printer, and a 3 year warranty for $1400.

Better than any deal you will ever get with Apple.

    If your in college you should look into that deal apple has for college students. Its like 100 dolllars off the mbp +free printer + free ipod. That was last summer though idk now.

    Yeah I recently got one of the 13inch mbp's with the intel 2 duo core. Not sure why they didn't put in i3's but whatever. It's so much better than my windows computer at high running programs like photoshop. And I actually use photoshop to edit huge files, like film being scanned. It'll be fine. You could wait till they put i3 cores in and get if you want.

    if you go to college you might be able to get some kind of deal through your school and apple. Thats what I did with my macbook, it wasn't a hell of a deal but it was something and I got a free ipod, too.

    When my Brother went to uni he got a dictafone, high-end printer and laptop with a load of software for free. When he finished uni he didn't have to give it back or pay for it, all because he is/was dyslexic...

    Bit more on topic. Beezey, I'd suggest getting a refurbished MBP off the Apple store, that way you have some sort of warranty if it should go wrong and they'd replace it or repair it quite easily, rather than getting one from a different retailer.

    My macbook pro fell out of my backpack on sunday.... Kinda my fault, but I was delirious after driving 16 hours to minneapolis and didn't see that it was open.

    Same thing though, screen died but the computer works so I just got a 22 inch hd screen for $150.

    I'll probably get another macbook soonish though and just use this as a desktop in that I have a mouse and 500 gig harddrive and external keyboard... Kinda funny.

    See if your computer still works with a screen and then you can have a desktop too..

    you could get a refurbished mbp 13" for $1019 w/o shipping I guess...what you got is almost exactly the same except for the aluminum exterior (which is really fucking sweet I think) and an extra 2 gigs of RAM, but you said you don't need to do really taxing shit with your computer so that's probably not all that necessary... Idk what shipping costs but if you want a little nicer of a computer for a pretty good deal I might go with the Mbp...it's just a more solid computer...the aluminum...a little more RAM...it would probably run better but you be the judge....the normal Macbook is pretty nice too
