Stain Removal on Jacket...HELP!!!!!

Hey NS, last year i ate shit on a rail and it left these 2 stains and now i have no idea of how to get them out. i really want to get them out cause it really takes away from the jaket. one is a rail stain and the other is rust i think but im not sure. any suggestion/knowlege would be great. thanks!!!

if its last year you might be out of luck. i don't know much about washing clothes, but i know that for stains the faster you put shit on them the better chance you will have to get them out.

i used "tide to go" the little $2 tide stick, on my jacket when i had a mark from a rail. it works pretty well but you still gota scrub it out a bit. but it cleans up the jacket just like new.

excatly, thatst y it needs to go. i can deal with the rail stain but the shit stain HAS to go. plus its pretty big.

Get some Zout its the best shit i've found for removing all kinds of stains, then wash it with Grangers outerwear wash or something similar.

If you can't get it out take it and get it dry cleaned. I did that to my air raid jacket and it looks brand new!

there are a couple other threads on this but i'll chime in again. any metal stain can be most easily removed with something acidic. you can rub lemon juice or vinegar on it, let it sit for a while, then throw it in the washing machine if you don't want to spend the money on an actual rust remover. there are tons of products you can buy at the grocery store that will do the exact same thing as vinegar/lemon juice but will also remove additional grease that may also be in the stain.

cheap: 1) dish detergent 2)lemon juice or vinegar 3) wash in laundry

cheap(ish): 1)go to the grocery and buy a pre-wash detergent that says "will remove rust stains"

no worries. the key is figuring out what the stain is be it organic or metal based. any metal based stain(including rust and blood) is best cleaned with something acidic that helps react with/dissolve the stain. this also includes a large part of grass stains. just Google "rust stains" and you'll find a number of solutions. Google(and the NS'r searchbar) is just as good as a Ph.D. in chemistry, trust me.
