So today I was sitting in my math class and I was supposed to be working on a test. Well I didn't know the material, so of course I started thinking/daydreaming of more interesting things. One thing that crossed my mind was UFO's. As I'm assuming most people know, UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. But this confused me a lot. Because the Unidentified Flying Object, was clearly identified as a UFO!
and you cant see sound waves either. unless youre in a plane that goes faster than it. the second you hit the sound barrier you can see the waves physically break over the plane.
you are wrong. thats a vapor cone. its caused by the air in the front of the plane being pushed out of the way and leaving a low pressure space behind it. if the air is humid enough, the water within that low pressure space will condense and form a cloud.
you can see sound waves though if you have a medium for them to pass through.
