So yesterday in a football game i got hit and landed on my feet, yet all of the pressure was taken up by my heel. i went to the trainer today and was told i bruised my heel bone. it hurts to put pressure on it, and i still play football with a special heel insert that doesnt seem to do much. so does anybody have suggestions to help it heal faster or make it less painful? because it is not bad enough that i cant play, and i am looking at 2-3 weeks for it to heal.
I broke my 3rd metatarsal in half and had to get a plate put in 2 weeks after I broke it because it wasn't healing. By the time I'm off crutches (1 week) I will have been in crutches for over 2 months and I'm gonna be in a boot for another month after that, then I have another month until I can get back into doing really active stuff. And I'm thankful that my recovery time is so short. I'm getting shoulder surgery this summer and I'm gonna be out for 6 months. Don't complain dude. You got it easy. Hell, I can't even complain, there are people who are fucked for life.
get some arnica (sp?) its an herb that they make into creams. Rub it on and it helps heal faster. Takes the pain away quicker too.
Or you can take the western approach and just numb your self with aspirin. Or crack.
