The high fives (new FTi mold) is heavier than the Hot Dogger (regular FT mold), Not by much though. By the way...you know that both those boots fit COMPLETELY different...the new FTi mold (high five) is a wider last (toe box width) than the old FT mold (hot dogger). So you really need to try them on before you buy them.

sorry forgot to mention. I am referring to the 2009 high five model. i know the new ones are heavier because of the wider fit. but the pair i am looking at to buy are the older ones. i tried them on in a shop and they felt very light and comfortable, but i'm wondering how much lighter the hot doggers could be.

then they're both the same weight...there really isn't much difference between models beside flex, liner, and boot board (and some have different buckles and anchors).

They are the exact same weight if they are the old mold.
New mold is a few MM wider and a bit heavier.

The active boot board is a shock absorber, so it's a bit squishy, but the rigid boot board gives you a better feel for the snow. It's mostly personal preference on those, I know a lot of people who prefer the rigid to the active cause it's a bit more responsive.
Oh, and the "technica" guy has been trolling all night...just saying.

and i wouldn't have fallen for your sarcasm if it wasn't for those dub lincoln loops too close to the wood surrounding the foam pit, and your dumb dog.
