It also depends on weight. Initially, I would say c j west because it has a babe on it.
But moar srsly, do you want symmetrical or not? If yes, c j west, if not then candid yard. Also the candide yard has a 181 which is closer to your actual height compared to cjw's 185.
the colby james west has a symmetrical shape. you mount it center and it is exactly the same forwards and backwards. the candide is close to symmetrical but isnt quite i also think that it is a cm or two back from center.
I think the candide yard is slightly softer but dont quote me on it. they are really similar, you will probably be ok either way.
No offense, but how do you have 3500 karma and not know what a symmetrical ski is? (karma is dumb though)
I was having this debate last year. I figured the Colbys were too stiff for my likings but I really wanted a symmetrical ski and the Candides weren't. I'd reccomend looking at the schillers also.They're fully symmetrical, a bit softer and pretty rad. I would also reccomend looking at last years coreupts because the graphics were so much doper and they'll be cheap
I honestly have never ridden fully symmetrical skis and thats the reason I was looking for some. I would like to see what I enjoy better. From what I hear, these are the advantages;
1.Ride switch better, so makes it easier to do jumps switch and so on
2.Skis are mounted dead center (should be) which means the weight is in the middle of the ski so better balance for boxes/rails
And I hear it's just all around better. We'll just have to see though. Good luck with the Coreupts hope I could help
Just swooped up a pair of Colby west pros on skis.com for $199.... They are 2009s,but so what. I just snapped my new pipe cleaners in half and what can I say, price is a major factor. I won't say I don't care about performance, but on skis that I ride park on, I just pray they last.
I will post a "useful" review once I get a good day on them.
I ride the Colby West for my park ski. They are the first generation, which I believe is the exact dimensions of a TM. They are pretty awesome, but stiff. IDK how I feel about the stiffness, maybe a softer ski is better in the park.
Bump. Then I'm defo getting the CJ's.
Being tall, the 4cm extra helps (a fully symmetrical park ski in 185cm, ahmahgawd!) and I already have the punx - about the softest ski around. I can pick up a pair of CJ's for 99€ (new), haha!
